Will water left in a concrete birdbath cause damage to the concrete if the water freezes?

It's best to drain the birdbath during the winter months. If you have an unseasonably warm day and the birds are active, refill it with fresh water - but be sure to empty it in the evening. Freezing water expands and can damage concrete.
