I AM TRYING TO DETERMINE THE NAME OF AN EVERGREEN SHRUB/TREE THAT IS DWARF IN SIZE (GROWS NO MORE THAN 6 FEET TALL) THAT IS NAMED AFTER SOME LORD IN IRELAND. I THINK THE SHRUB IS A SPRUCE AND I THINK THE NAME IS LORD TALLYMORE OR LORD TOLLEYMORE SPRUCE, BUT AM NOT SURE. I KNOW THAT GROWERS IN OREGON GROW A LOT OF THESE TREES. CAN YOU PLEASE TELL ME THE CORRECT NAME OF THE SHRUB/TREE? THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR HELP. |
Picea abies "Clanbrasilliana Stricta" is the Tolleymore Spruce. It is a handsomely broad upright pyramidal evergreen that matures slowly, and the dense and compact habit of 'Clanbrassiliana Stricta' makes it a perfect dwarf Christmas tree. Height: 5-8' Width: 3-5'; needs at least 4-6 hours of direct sunshine and will grow in any type soil. It is hardy to USDA zone 4. Hope this information is helpful. |
