My garden is on somewhat of a slant. Should I make it a two stepped garden, or is there a way to plant the vegetables where the slant will not matter? |
The answer really depends upon the degree of the slope. If it is steep, and you're concerned about erosion, you probably should garden in tiers. If it is a gentle slope, you can garden as is, making sure to provide basins around each plant to catch and hold water so the roots get adequate moisture. Or, you can dig shallow (horizontal) trenches and plant barely above the trenches. Then flood the trenches so the roots get adequate moisture. Hope this helps! |
