Can I put my tulips in the ground now? I just bought 36 bulbs in three different colors and plan to border our concrete steps leading from driveway to door. We have alot of old trees and this is probably the only place that gets enough sunlight to the ground. How much sun do they need?

Donna,

I apologize for this delayed reply to your gardening question and hope it is still helpful to you.

Tulips are generally planted in early January. However if you still have them please go ahead and plant them. Tulips do not return and rebloom in the lower south but are treated like annuals instead.

Thanks for the question. Best wishes for a wonderful gardening season. Please stop in again soon!
