I wrote about two weeks ago about a pony tail palm i bought from home depot. I followed your watering instructions-better dry then wet etc etc. Now the leaves have brown just on the ends, about an inch. i DID DISCOVER A ROOT COMING OUT OF THE BOTTOM. How Do I replant and with what soil would be best? I am assuming this is the problem. Thank you for your time, COlleen |
If the root is coming out of the drainage holes in the bottom of the pot, the plant is probably rootbound and will appreciate being repotted in a slightly larger pot. Use a gritty cactus mix so the plant cannot be overwatered and repot at exactly the same soil level as it was planted before. Best wishes with your ponytail bonsai! |
