I wrote about two weeks ago about a pony tail palm i bought from home depot. I followed your watering instructions-better dry then wet etc etc. Now the leaves have brown just on the ends, about an inch. i DID DISCOVER A ROOT COMING OUT OF THE BOTTOM. How Do I replant and with what soil would be best? I am assuming this is the problem.
Thank you for your time,
COlleen

If the root is coming out of the drainage holes in the bottom of the pot, the plant is probably rootbound and will appreciate being repotted in a slightly larger pot. Use a gritty cactus mix so the plant cannot be overwatered and repot at exactly the same soil level as it was planted before. Best wishes with your ponytail bonsai!
