To be honest, unless you have lots of patience and enjoy a mystery, you'd probably be better off discarding the trees. Some peach trees are on their own roots and others are grafted onto either standard peach or almond tree rootstocks. Without knowing more specifics about your peach trees, I can't say for sure, but you may end up with fruit that doesn't resemble 'Veteran' in any way. Fruit trees are fairly inexpensive so why not replace your 3 with healthy new trees in the cultivar that you especially like? I would!
