The Q&A Archives: Hyacinth

Question: After forcing blooming Hyacinths this winter, and after the blossoms died, the leaves started turning brown, tips first. Is this normal?

Answer: What you describe is perfectly natural and normal. Allow the foliage to die completely down and then remove it from the bulb. Store the bulb in a cool, dry place for forcing again next year, or plant it outdoors.

Best wishes with your garden!
