Tall Fescue with Rhizomes, RTF, is relatively new on the market. Rhizomes are underground vegetative stems that allow grass plants to spread. This is a desirable characteristic because a thinning stand, over time, can grow lush and thick again. All tall fescue varieties have mini-rhizomes, but there are some that have more aggressive rhizomes than others. The newest of these varieties are called rhizomatous tall fescues or RTF types.

There are at least six different RTF varieties: Labarinth RTF, Grande II, Titan Ltd., Rendition, Kittyhawk 2000 and Winter Active Fescue. I don't know whether Gardens Alive and Vigoro get their stock from the same company or not, so I can't really answer your question in terms of price. I can only suggest that you purchase the variety that appeals to you, at the price you want.

Best wishes with your lawn!
