I have a very healthy, thriving anthurium. My problem is that it has out grown 2 pots and is working on outgrowing a third. I was wondering, is it possible to break a section of the plant away from the whole and root it in a smaller pot?

You can divide your plant. Here's how: remove the plant (spring is the best time) and divide it carefully, making sure each division has a crown with roots and leaves. Replant individually in small pots. Best wishes with your project!
