| We're just completing a large amount of work around our house;Driveway, front and back walks,patio and pool. Problem is our front yard took a beating and I'm debating whether to fertilize or seed. Is there anything (or products) which we can do quickly one after another or together. It needs fertilizer bad but parts of the lawn are shabby to bare. We're nearing the end of grass planting season in Virginia Beach but I don't want to kill the seed with fertilizer. | The best course of action is to rake out the debris in the bare or nearly bare areas, broadcast seed, then lightly cover the seed with peat moss to help keep the areas moist so the seeds will quickly sprout. Wait about 3 weeks and then fertilize your lawn. To keep it thick and lush, remember to feed 3-4 times a year (April, June, September and late November). Best wishes with your landscape renovation!
