The Q&A Archives: Container gardening for blueberry bushes

Question: I have three Blueberry plants and I would like to know if I can plant them in large containers since my soil is very acidic I have pine trees all around my place.

Answer: Yes, you can grow blueberries in containers, but yours might be very happy in your garden, because of your pine trees and acidic soil. Blueberries love acidic soil! People who live in areas with alkaline soils have to add tons of peat moss to the garden bed before planting blueberries. I'd plant your shrubs in the ground - they'll flourish in acidic soil!
