Can you cut flowers like tulips and bring them in, put them in water like other flowers? And if you do will it affect the bulb from flowering next season?

Yes, you can cut the flowers from your tulips and take them indoors to enjoy. Cutting the flowers off will not harm the bulbs, as long as you leave the foliage alone. The foliage transports carbohydrates to the bulb for storage and for the following year's flower display so allow the leaves to die down naturally.

You'll get the longest life from your cut flowers if you allow them to develop color and then cut them before they begin to open. If you cut them after they begin to open they will still be lovely, but they won't last as long in the vase.

Enjoy your tulips!
