| I recently received "curled mustard seed" and have planted it in a starter garden inside. Within three days, seedlings have come through. I am looking for any information regarding mustard seed, trees, etc. All I know is that they produce a beautiful yellow flower. Will this grow into a tree or stay small, as a plant? Any and all information regarding this topic will be greatly appreciated. |
| Mustard is related to cabbage; there are lots and lots of different types. Mustard plants are generally used as greens. You can harvest the young leaves to eat fresh in salads, or allow them to mature and eat them steamed. Mustard greens generally have that characteristic pungent flavor, so you may want to mix them with other, more mild greens. You can transplant your mustard outdoors once the weather has warmed up. You might even plant a few seeds when you transplant your seedlings--that way, you'll have a longer harvest. |
