I recently purchased about 50 packets of flower, fruit, & vegetable seeds. Now I am searching for an exisiting spreadsheet that already includes the essential seed planting information (e.g., when to plant seeds in peat pot; germination conditions [warm/cold; sun/darkness; water/drier soil], when to thin and transplant into larger (2.5

Yes, what you describe makes sense, but I don't know of a source for the database. You may have to make your own, or you might want to contact local Master Gardeners. They may have already put something like that together. Here's a website with lots of resource information from the Cooperative Extension office.
