My rose bush dosen't have any branches. Will new ones grow on it? It had one stem on it but it was knocked off during winter. I live in zone 6 mid atlantic. |
If the roots of your rose bush are healthy the plant should grow new canes. I'd cut the stem down to about 12" from ground level and wait for new canes to develop. When the canes grow to 12-18" you can prune them at that level and new branches should develop. Best wishes with your roses! |
