I live in Dallas Tx and I have a long flower bed in the front of my house.I need to fill it with flowers this year. (it was full of rose bushes) It gets all day sun in the summer. I really like color there since it is next to my front steps of the house. What do you suggest? Thank you

Courtney,

I apologize for this delayed reply to your gardening question. The spring rush has brought a deluge of questions and we are working hard to catch up!

Some flowers for the summer sun include zinnias (including narrow leafed zinnia, Zinnia angustifolia), blackfoot daisy, Esperanza (Tecoma stans), Salvias (many good ones including Salvia greggii and Salvia 'Indigo Spires'), Ice Plant, Celosia and lantana.

Thanks for the question. Best wishes for a wonderful gardening season. Please stop in again soon!
