I would like to plant a palm tree in my front yard, however do no know which will do well here in El Paso, TX. The area gets full sunlight all day but is not protected from winds during our windy season. I would like one that does not get too tall but not real short and squat either. What do you recommend? Thanks for your help.

Heidi,

That is a lot of specs for any palm tree. I don't see any palms on the list of plants in our database for your area. I suggest you contact your local Extension office to see what they think is your best bet. Their contact information is:

Texas Cooperative Extension, El Paso County
