| You can add dried cow manure any time. It's a fairly stable soil amendment, and won't harm your plants. If you were to use fresh manure or another high-nitrogen fertilizer, that's where you can get into trouble. The highly-soluble nitrogen can harm plant roots. So go ahead and add the dried manure; just be sure to incorporate it into the soil. It will give the plants a good spring "kick"! |
