help invading weed - Knowledgebase Question

I have a rock garden that that seen to have a weed that grows under our weed blocker cover that we put down. would it be best to take everything out of garden and try to kill the weed that way. Roots of weed thick and can grow without sun. Weed plants are coming up everywhere invading both garden as well as lawn

It would be helpful to know what the weed is before trying to offer control options. For instance, field bindweed (also called morningglory) is nearly impossible to eradicate without digging and using a vegetation killer (which can harm your other plants). Other weeds might respond with just hand digging. Try to have the weed identified - perhaps at your local garden center? Then if the staff there cannot suggest control remedies, submit a new question to this forum with the name of the weed and we'll make helpful suggestions.
