The Q&A Archives: Palm Trees

Question: What do I do about palm trees that turns yellow? They get alot of sun and water.

Answer: The yellowing could be a serious disease or a lack of fertilizer. You may want to contact your County Extension Office and see about bringing in a photo showing the particular symptoms. They may be able to better diagnose with that in hand. Otherwise purchase a complete fertilizer, preferably one for palms, and apply according to the label instructions. Then water it in well and repeat in a couple of months.
