The Q&A Archives: Orange Marmalade Hostas

Question: I would like to know if these Hostas would tolerate sunlight for 6-8 hours a day.

Answer: All hostas prefer shade, however some will tolerate a few hours of morning sunshine. Orange Marmalade can take more sunshine than most. For best performance, plant it where it will receive filtered shade during the hottest part of the afternoon. I'm afraid 6-8 hours of direct sunshine will be too much for your new plant.
