Ivy vines with yellow leaves and "burnt" spots - Knowledgebase Question

I have some kind of green ivy type plant in a hanging basket. It has huge trailing vines hanging down. I have 2 of them. They are not so beautiful now. The leaves are turning yellow and some are getting brown spots like

My best assessment is that there is a soil moisture problem in those pots. Dry soil conditions or soggy wet can both damage roots and result in yellowing and spotty foliage. Provide the plant with moderately moist soil allowing it to dry out just a bit between waterings. If the original damage was not too severe it should recover and start putting out new growth soon.
