We have been experiencing terrible drought conditions in Georgia and I am wanting to plant my flowers but know nothing about what kind would be best for this condition. Could you please advise.

You are wise to use plants that don't need frequent watering. Some flowers more tolerant of dry conditions include gaillardia, coreopsis, yarrow, black-eyed Susan, flax, four o'clocks, cosmos, verbena, salvia, tithonia, and gazania. Another method to reduce evaporation and conserve soil moisture is to layer mulch (compost, bark chips, etc.) on top of the soil. Good luck!
