I bought a cedar arbor that requires assembly. The directions state that the arbor can be painted or stained prior to assembly. I question whether it is necessary to stain it or can I just go ahead with assembly? Thanks.

Cedar is one of the best woods to use in the garden. It is not necessary to stain or paint the cedar prior to assembling your arbor. Do so only if you want a color other than the natural wood.

Best wishes with your new arbor!
