I have read a lot of different things. But I would like to know what really get rid of squirrels. I have a container garden and they are digging inside my pots.

Thanks

Actually, protecting plants in containers is much easier than trying to protect plants out in the landscape. Squirrels dig for many reasons; looking for grubs, looking for acorns or nuts they may have buried are the two most common. To keep squirrels from digging in your pots, lay hardware cloth over the top of the soil. This doesn't look very attractive, but it's an effective way to keep them from digging. To hide the hardware cloth, cover it with decorative stones or bark chips.

Best wishes with your container garden!
