Repotting is the same, regardless of the plant. Choose a good commercial grade of potting soil (such a Miracle Gro or Kellogg's) and place some in the bottom of the pot. Remove the plant from the old pot, brush off most of the old potting soil and place the plant in the new pot. Fill in around the sides with moistened potting soil and then water your plant well to help settle the soil. The most important aspect of repotting is to choose a container with adequate drainage holes on the bottom so the soil drains quickly.

Best wishes with your spath!
