Is Canadian Green a good grass for a lawn in Florida? My daughter has a yard with oak trees in the front and avocado and citrus trees in the back, therefore has a great deal of shade. The previous owners did nothing with the yard for some time, therefore, only weeds, dirt and small patches of St. Augustine are in yard. Living in Florida all our lives we prefer St. Augustine, but has been told to use the Canadian Green as it is hardy and green and works well with shade. Your opinion? Thanks Sharon Didden |
Sharon, I am not familiar with that type of grass and thus am a bit wary. I suggest you contact your County Extension Office and ask them about it. They are familiar with what does best in your area. Their contact information is: 5339 South CR 579 Seffner, FL 33584-3334 Phone (813) 744-5519 |
