The Q&A Archives: Sun Flower

Question: I recently purchased some sun flower plants. The flowers died and all I have left is green stems and leaves. Will another flower bloom, or should I take the plant out of the soil.

Answer: If your sunflower plants each have a single stalk, they will not rebloom. If your sunflower plants have multiple upright stems, they will very likely produce new flowers. To encourage this, cut off the dead flowers. Hope your sunflowers are the reblooming kind!
