If a house plant is developing large yellow leaves yet leggy growth, is a symptom of what?

Without knowing what type of plant you're growing or the conditions in which it is growing, I can only offer a generic diagnosis. Leggy growth and yellowing leaves are typically a sign of insufficient light.
