What, if any, is the difference between Cornus sericea and Cornus stolonifera?

Cornus sericea is commonly known as Redosier Dogwood. It is a large, spreading shrub that grows to a height of 7 to 9' with beautiful red stems/twigs. Cornus stolonifera is an older name for the same species.
