Answer: I've grown princess trees from seed so I know that they are slow at first, but then grow rapidly. Branch development usually comes at 4 years of age and flowering at 7. Leafing and flowering is dependent upon weather. As soon as your tree feels the soil and air are warm enough, it will wake up from its winter nap and begin to leaf out. Be patient with it - in a few years you'll be rewarded with fantastic blossoms. Enjoy!
