There are a number of pet-friendly garden products on the market. The weed killers are vinegar based and one contains potassium salts and plant-derived fatty acids. You can also use a corn gluten based pre-emergent to keep weeds from popping up once you've removed the existing weeds. Most well stocked garden centers will carry these products. Be sure to read and apply as the label suggests. Best wishes with your garden!
