I would like to plant a memorial garden for my mother. The area is shaded and I would like something that is easy to care for and returns every year so I won't have to replant. Do you have any suggestions? |
Dawn, Most shade flowers are annuals in your area. Your good options are foliage plants like aztec grass (white), purple heart (purple), beefsteak plant (dark red), or Persian shield (purple; perhaps a bit cold tender). For flowers try Hinkley's columbine (reseeds), Turks cap (if very bright shade), shrimp plant, and white butterfly ginger. Thanks for the question. Please stop in again soon! |
