The Q&A Archives: trees

Question: need to know what kind of tree I can use that only grows in full sun and only grows to approx. 4 to 6 feet tall.

Answer: Not many trees will grow only to 6' in height so you may want to consider a shrub, which can be pruned into a tree shape with the removal of most of the branches that grow along the trunk. Lilac and wisteria are often pruned in this manner. Or, you might consider a flowering crabapple or a redbud. You can maintain these at about 6'.

Best wishes with your landscape!
