I just bought a farmette in Florida and I want to start an orchard. I love Damson plums. I grew them in Illinois, but is it possible to grow them here?

The Damson plum is not recommended for Florida, nor are any of the cultivated varieties recommended for Central Florida. The major difficulty in obtaining good fruiting of cultivated plum varieties in dooryard plantings results from poor adaptation to warm winters. But you can grow citrus and many other semi-tropical fruits.
