| June, Keep the soil moist but not soggy wet. The plant needs time to establish roots in it's new location. It will benefit from light doses of a soluble plant food such as Miracle Gro every week or two for a couple of months. Wait until it has been in the ground for at least 6 weeks before starting to fertilize with a dry, lawn type product. Then sprinkle it sparingly at a rate of about 1 cup per 50 square feet of soil surface area and water it in well. Fertilizing once or twice a year (spring and, if a second is desired, in mid summer) is adequate. Thanks for the question. Please stop in again soon! |
