How do you go about planting a hydrangea outdoors? Do they need any special care. What about sunlight or shade?

Hydrangeas grow in average but well-draining soil and prefer morning sun with afternon shade. They're easy to grow - simply water them regularly and they should thrive.

To properly plant your hydrangea, dig a hole slightly deeper and wider than the pot it is in. Set the plant in the hole so that it will be at the same finished soil level as it was growing in the pot. Fill in around the roots with soil and then water your plant well to help settle the soil. Be sure to water deeply once each week during the growing season.

Best wishes with your hydrangea.
