Does the Van Cherry Tree (dwarf) need another cherry tree to pollinate or is it self pollinating?

Van will need another sweet cherry for pollination. You might try STELLA - The first good quality, self-fertile black cherry. The fruit is good size, moderately firm, heart-shaped with appearance and flavor similar to Lambert. More crack resistant than Bing. Good pollinizer for other sweet cherries. Ripens mid-June.

STELLA, COMPACT - Has all the outstanding characteristics of the parent, but is a dwarf plant. More crack-resistant than Bing. Self-fertile and a good pollinizer for other sweet cherries.

There is also a dwarf Bing and a dwarf Hartland cherry. Any of these cherry trees will be compatible with your Van.
