I apologize for this delayed reply to your gardening question and hope it is still helpful to you.

Rose pruning depends on the type of rose you are growing. Dwarf roses, climbing roses, shrub roses and hybrid tea roses are each pruned somewhat differently. The following website will provide some useful guidance and should help you determine the best approach for your roses.
