Hello,

We just purchased two Green Weeping Pussy Willows from our local home depot. The tag says they are a shade tree. I thought they were ornamental. It also says thaat they will grow 15-18 feet and be 12 to 15 feet wide. Have you seen them that size. We live in southern Ohio.

Thank you.

Weeping Pussy Willow is Salix caprea 'pendula'. It will grow 8-10' high and 6'-10' wide. It grows best in full sunshine but will tolerate some shade. I think the reference to shade tree means it will cast some shade (but at that size, and growth habit I wouldn't expect much!)

Hope this clarifies things for you.
