What can I do to keep my dog from digging up my bulbs? I've tried fencing in the bulbs, but she goes over the fence to dig them up. I got Jerry Baker's book of garden remedies & tried the solution & it didn't work. Please help. Thank You.

I think the simplist solution is to lay chicken wire over the bed where you've planted the bulbs. The foliage will poke through the holes without problem, or you can enlarge the holes as the plants come up if they need more room. And, you can cover the chicken wire with bark mulch or a little top soil to camoflauge it. Be sure to anchor the chicken wire down in the center and at the edges to make sure your dog can't dig it up. You really can't blame your dog for wanting to dig in freshly prepared soil - it smells really good to him or her.

Best wishes with your bulbs.
