I have hybrid tea roses and noticed several bugs on the buds~ white, green and red which are camoflaging themselves so I could not tell they were there. I have been told to spray with soapy water and the bugs will go away, but I do not believe that works. This is the first time I have seen this type of infestation. What can I do to get these off the buds? Will I lose the plant if not treated? Thank you for your help.

I can't tell by your description what the pests might be. Aphids are commonly found on rose buds and come in a whole range of colors so perhaps that's what you have on your hybrid tea. If so, spraying with insecticidal soap will kill them off. You can also simply hose the pests off. If they come back, spray them off again. Eventually they'll give up and go elsewhere.

Bet wishes withh your roses!
