Hello,
I am trying to do my own gardening. While digging dirt infront of my own I just bump into rocks and more rocks. My home is a new construction and I'm afraid my plants won't live. What can I do?

Most trees and shrub roots will simply grow around the rocks in your soil. Annuals and perennials might have a more difficult time because their root systems are not as extensive. I think I'd haul in some nice topsoil and garden in raised beds or berms. Vegetables, fruits and flowers will all thrive in rich, well draining soil with a minimum of rocks and stones.

Best wishes with your new landscape!
