I bought a red crape myrtle from homedepot...I was wondering when will it start flowering for the first time? Does it have to grow to a particular height?
Would really like to know

Thank you so much

Your crape myrtle should bloom next spring. If you plant it now it will have almost a full year in the ground to establish its root system and it should be mature enough and have enough energy to produce new growth which will flower next spring and summer.

Enjoy your new tree!
