| My tulips have no blooms, and long (12 inch) leaves that ar laying down on the ground. What do I do next? |
| Tulips are fairly easy to grow. The important thing to remember is to allow the foliage to die down on its own. The leaves manufacture energy (carbohydrates) which is stored in the bulb for the following year's floral display. If the leaves are cut down while they are still green the bulb won't have enough stored energy to produce a flower the next year. So, allow the leaves to turn crispy brown then you can pull them away and out of the garden. |
