Hi,
I justed planted a Dogwood tree about three mths ago. At first it looked great with flowers on the leaves, then the flowers fell off,and leaves drooped.I made sure I watered it alot. Then about two weeks ago we had a cold snap, now the tree is dying. Is there anything I can do to bring it back? Thanks..

Nicole,

I apologize for this delayed reply to your gardening question and hope it is still helpful to you.

Dogwood trees like moist soil but will not tolerate soggy wet conditions. It could be that your tree roots dried out, during or after planting, or the planting hole may have been kept too soggy wet. The tree may be able to recover but only time will tell. There is not much for you to do at this point to wait and watch. If it is not resprout them with good growth by now it may not recover.

Thanks for the question. Best wishes for a wonderful gardening season. Please stop in again soon!
