The Q&A Archives: When to plant irises?

Question: When is the best time to plant bearded irises?

Answer: Irises should go into the garden as early in the spring as the soil can be worked. They flower in the spring so if you plant them now you may not get flowers, but the rhizomes will grow and have time to store energy for next spring's floral display. Enjoy!
