The Q&A Archives: peach tree

Question: I planted a peach tree about two weeks ago and the leaves turned yellow and started two fall off. I planted a lot of other kind of trees but not fruit.

Answer: Some plants are more susceptible to transplant stress than others. I think your peach tree is just showing its distress at being planted in your yard. It's early enough in the season that it should replace the lost foliage. In the meantime, be sure to water it deeply one each week to help the roots become established.

In a few weeks you should see some new green leaves.

Best wishes with your new trees!
