Would you be kind to explain why our Apricot Tree which for the first year is bearing lots of fruit, (being the 3rd year after planting it) , is losing its fruits. Each day, in this heat presently, in Cleveland, we pick up at least 40 green/unripe apricots. It is breaking my father s heart! Any suggestions as to why this is happening? Please help me. Thanks Rose Jurdi

Heartbreaking as it is to observe, June fruit drop is a normal phenomena. The tree is simply shedding the excess, smaller fruit so that more energy can be put into developing the remaining fruit to maturity. Nothing to worry about or to do. As the tree matures it will drop fewer fruits in June - but it will still drop some.

Best wishes with your apricot tree!
