The Q&A Archives: Dollar Weeds in my Rose beds

Question: Is there a chemical I can use that will eleminate dollar weeds from my rose beds without harming the roses?

Answer: Patricia,

I apologize for this delayed reply to your gardening question and hope it is still helpful to you.

Products that kill dollar weed can damage your rows if the product gets on the rose foliage or into the roots. You can purchase a product for controlling dollar weed and then carefully wiped it on to the lead foliage itself using a sponge type applicator. Take care not to get it onto the roses, or to overapply it causing it to run off him to the root zone of the Rose plants.

Thanks for the question. Best wishes for a wonderful gardening season. Please stop in again soon!
